Catherine (Cathe) Hendrickson - CPA
Financial professional whose experience has been across at various levels of management within a diverse range of industries including health care, manufacturing, small business and tax consulting. She enjoys building relationships while working to understand their business and personal financial goals. Catherine graduated magna cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She completed her CPA educational requirements at Metro University in Denver, Colorado Masters program. Currently holds an active CPA License from the State of Colorado and member of the AICPA.Before moving to South Carolina in 2020, Catherine spent 30 years in Colorado raising her three sons. She enjoys beach life, discovering new places and is an avid hockey fan.

Angel Urie-Dobson - Staff Accountant / QuickBooks ProAdvisor
Angel Urie-Dobson is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of south Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She started interning and gained experience as a student and pursued a career following graduation in 2008. With over 13 years of tax experience, she is also a licensed insurance agent (Life, Health, Property & Casualty). A wife of P&T disabled Marine veteran, and mother of three. She's a native of James Island, SC and loves the career path that she has chosen. At Hood's Tax & Accounting, she looks forward to working with and meeting new people.

Krystan is a mom of 3 who graduated from Strayer University in 2022 with an Associates degree in Accounting. She plans to go back to school for her Bachelors. In her spare time, Krystan enjoys camping, crafting and spending time with her family.

Rhett Sparkman - Tax Preparer
SC local Rhett Sparkman graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Education. She started preparing taxes in 1986 as a Public Assistance Tax Preparer for the South Carolina Department of Revenue. Rhett is passionate about preparing taxes and helping people navigate Federal laws. When not working, she enjoys the company of her 2 granddaughters, painting watercolors, trying out new recipes, and playing dominoes with her friends.

Kim Baker - Office Manager
Born and raised in a rural area outside of Rochester New York. A graduate of Finger Lakes Community College and Dowling College. Retired from Fedex after thirty-six years in 2018, from driving a truck to administration. Married to Scott for over 34 years, five children and four grandsons. In her spare time she is usually found quilting at the sewing machine, gardening and traveling. Following two of her grandchildren and to escape the snow, she now calls Charleston home. She looks forward to meeting all new and current clients.

Lynn Rommel - Administrative Assistant
Lynn recently moved here from Maine to help her in-laws age gracefully. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Maine in Orono she managed restaurants in the summer and worked on taxes in the winter. She looks forward to being part of the Hoods team.

Diana Garcia - Receptionist
Diana retired early from her career as a Real Estate Salesperson & Tax Preparer in Pomona, NY to pursue her dream in South Carolina. She has loved retirement here in SC, appreciating the hospitality and the slower way of life.
As a New Yorker, she finds it hard to stay put for long - so she decided to return to the work she loved here at Hoods Tax & Accounting. Diana looks forward to providing excellent customer service for all of our clients. |

Judy Martin - Reviewer
Judy Martin has been working for Hoods Tax and Accounting since 2003. Judy and her husband, John, have three sons and seven grandchildren. She does checking, processing, and acts as receptionist at Hoods. In her pastime she like work outside in her garden and spending time with family.

20 years after high school graduation, I went back to school and earned an Associate's degree in Secretarial Science. Yes, 2 years of shorthand to get that degree.
With 30 years experience in the corporate world, it seems that I was always involved with numbers. October 4th we became proud great grandparents (Nonna and Pap) to a beautiful baby girl. While I love living in the Lowcountry, we don't see our beautiful Nevaeh as much as we would like. This time last year our family welcomed another addition, our deputy sheriff granddaughter married a former Marine. |
